Yeah but sadly the best NI plugins for cinematic and scoring are there, not in the standard edition. Ultimate is an expensive thing and I'm sure I need most of the additional libraries except those mentioned.

Symphony Series Percussion (the non-essential version) provided in K12CE is also really good, I like it a lot, the best patch of the Symphony Series for me. I'm especially interested in cinematic percussion.ĭamage is a really good plugin in that regard, but I don't know if it's provided with Komplete Standard. I wouldn't buy Komplete Standard just to get the Kontakt Library and the rest of the bundle will be very poor on cinematic stuff. Some instruments are cool sounding but most of them aren't just good enough for today standards. How do you think, will the Standard version be enough and I can score with Kontakt factory libraries which come with it If you're upgrading anyway then their stuff is decent enough and the effects are killer but if all you want is an orchestral library then go to the specialists. Tl dr: NI orchestral stuff (for scoring) is a few years behind the curve.

You can get the basic package for free and then upgrade and it'll knock 50 quid off the upgrade price. I'd say if you're upgrading anyway then you can definitely make use of the orchestral gear that comes with it but if you're upgrading purely for orchestral then I'd look elsewhere like Spitfire's BBCSO or something by Orchestral Tools. Guy Michelmore did a video on the essentials version which might give you a bit more for a hands on view. I love a bit of orchestral stuff myself and can say that I do really like the symphony series that comes with collectors edition and think of it as a great addition to my collection BUT the symphony essentials is quite limiting. You're not going to create a convincing track with the factory library but you can definitely have fun. Hi there! The Kontakt factory library is good but I think it completely depends on your expectations.
